Sleek Pageboy Bob Haircut With Heavy Arched Fringe

Added: 11 Sep 2017
This auburn brown bob haircut is blow-straightened perfectly to smooth down the top while the ends stay stick straight for a fabulous finish. The razor-cut blunt bangs are worn down to frame the eyes and temples and complete the overall look brilliantly. Regular trims are needed to maintain this hairstyle.

Our model looks flawless here in a chic and timeless pageboy style bob with a modern twist- a heavy arched fringe. This cut is ideal for showing off her high cheekbones and delicate facial features. The blunt bangs provides her eyes with a chic frame while the rest of her hair maintains a smooth, geometric shape that falls to her shoulders. Layers are cut in the front from the temples down to create a jagged finish that sculpts around the face. This 'do is ideal for ladies with straight hair who look best with a full-on fringe, and who need a defined cut that slims and sculpts the face.

Our model looks fabulous here in a sleek, chic bob that is a rich auburn brown tone. Straight bobs look best in striking monochromatic colors such as this one; no highlights are needed to perfect this look. Plus, it gives her locks a glossy, healthy looking finish. Ladies with a fair, cool complexion like hers can also pull this tone off nicely, and it suits both dark and light eye colors!

step 1

A small radial brush is used on shorter hair types to add more body or in longer hair types to create curl. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 2

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 3

To blow-dry the sides, take out a small section of hair from the front and clip the rest of the hair away. Next, place the brush under the section and then pull the brush and hair forward around your face (this curving motion creates body). Place the hair-dryer on top of the brush until you reach the ends and then turn the ends under. Repeat until dry.

step 4

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 5

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush underneath the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a forward and downward direction with your blow-dryer above. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly above.

step 6

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush underneath the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a forward and downward direction with your blow-dryer above. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly above.

step 7

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 8

When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. step 9

Lacquer is great for strong hold. A small amount is all that is required to finish and should be applied from an arms length distance to the entire style.

step 10

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips, and then using your fingers, rake through your bangs pinching the ends as you go to create a feathered, textured effect.

step 11

Using a small amount of wax, work it through the mid-lengths and ends in a downward, pinching motion. For added texture, apply more pinching and more wax.

step 12

Apply some wax to your fingertips and then pull through the ends of your hair in a downward motion to achieve a sculptured look. Pinch clumps of hair in different directions for a messier result.
