Catherine Bell Medium Straight Black Bob Haircut with Razor Cut Bangs

Added: 13 Jun 2016
Here is a classic pageboy bob that brings all of the focus to the face. This 'do is ideal for straight, thick hair. This is a simple style that doesn't have too many steps so it'll be easy and quick to do at home.

Catherine Bell looks lovely here in a classic pageboy bob that makes the most of her hair's natural texture and her facial features. Having an oval face shape and large eyes, Catherine is well-suited to this shoulder length bob. This ‘do works with her naturally straight hair texture nicely and creates the perfect frame for her face, thanks to the jagged layering and razored edges throughout. The choppy finish gives her hair a thick, healthy look with some swing throughout the ends. The jagged fringe gives her a sexy peek-a-boo look while balancing out her face shape.

Catherine has a warm, ivory complexion and dark eyes. This makes her well-suited to black tones of hair the best. Here, she is flaunting her signature dark locks that works well with her skin tone and eye color. No highlights are needed here as this color looks best on its own.

Catherine Bell is an American actress and producer known for her roles as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie of the television series JAG.

step 1

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Starting at the nape/back of the hair, place your brush on top of the section and blow-dryer down starting from the roots and using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Make sure to follow the brush with the blow-dryer in an outwards direction. If you like fuller flicks, hold the ends out and roll them up into the brush and apply the heat for longer.

step 4

To blow-dry the sides, take out your first sections from the front and clip the rest of the hair up. Place your brush on top of the section, and starting from the roots, blow-dry down using tension as you go. Next, place the blow-dryer underneath the hair and continue to blow-dry the ends out. Continue this step until the hair is dry.

step 5

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 6

To get your sides to sit out, apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then working mainly on the ends, pinch them while dragging the hair in an out and upwards motion. Be careful not to overdo that wax or your result will be a flat and limp style.
