Ryan Newman Long Wavy Light Honey Brunette Hairstyle with Dark Blonde Highlights

Added: 04 Apr 2016
One side of this hairdo is styled off the shoulder leaving the opposite side out to fall over the shoulder showing off the soft waves dressed through the mid-lengths to ends. This look is easy to re-create with the right tools and needs product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims is needed every 4-6 weeks to prevent split ends.

Ryan Newman looks fabulous here in simple long silky curls. Ryan is a fan of sexy, longer hairstyles which are ideal for her heart-shaped face and medium hair type. The layers and waves in this ‘do give her hair an infusion of body and volume which is essential for her hair type as it tends to fall flat. The side part and grown out fringe also works well for her high, rounded hairline, but she would also suit bangs too. Sweeping the hair behind the shoulder on one side is an easy way to add some extra style to a simple long ‘do like this one, plus it highlights her gorgeous cheekbones.

Ryan is a natural dark brunette. She has a medium, warm complexion and blue eyes which makes her suited to golden and yellow tones the best. Here, she maintains her natural color at the roots while the ends are highlighted into a dark honey blonde. This gives her hair a beachy sun-kissed look, and it brightens up her complexion and eye color.

Ryan Newman is an American teen actress, singer and model who is well known for her role as Ginger Falcone in Zeke and Luther.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 5

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 6

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 7

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 8

A large hot roller is used to give your hair a larger curl and to add lots of body.

step 9

Take a section of hair from the nape no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically down the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Continue this step until the entire back section of your hair is completed. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 10

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically, making sure to roll it backwards, along the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.

step 11

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
