Description

(Added: 29th August 2017 )
Windblown waves are dressed through the ends of these thick sun-kissed locks to give the overall style subtle movement and bounce. This casual style is easy to re-create at home with the right tools and needs a little product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims are needed to prevent split ends.

Our model looks lovely here in a sexy windblown hairstyle. Having a diamond face shape and rounded hairline, her face looks best in ‘dos with a grown out fringe and longer layers around the face. This simple layered 'do creates a nice frame for her face and allows her hair’s naturally thick texture to do its thing, adding body and bounce all over. The layers in the front of this cut around the front softens up her jaw line area and gives her tresses some added movement. This cut also highlights her strong cheekbones thanks to the center part that allows the hair to drape nicely and fall past her shoulders. Tousling the hair out adds extra style and produced a windblown/beachy effect.

Our model has a warm complexion with golden undertones and blue eyes. This makes her suited to hair colors that have a warm base to them, like the rich golden brunette and light brunette tones seen here. This natural-looking shade is ideal for her complexion and it brings out the intensity of her eye color. A darker base color and highlighted ends gives her 'do a beachy feel.

Styling Steps

Partmiddle
1 . Part the Middle
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.
Paddlebrush
2 . Use a Paddle Brush
A paddle brush is used for detangling the hair and can be used to smooth out straight hair when blow-drying or styling. It is a must have for every household.

3 . Blow-dry Using a Paddle Brush
Working in sections starting from the back, place the paddle brush close to the roots and drag it through the strands slowly, taking care not to overheat your hair. Once dry, continue to a new section, completing the back, the sides and then the top section last of all.
Largehotroller
4 . Use Large Hot Rollers
A large hot roller is used to give your hair a larger curl and to add lots of body.

5 . Apply Hot Rollers Vertically to the Side
Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller vertically, making sure to roll it backwards, along the hair shaft to the roots and secure it with a pin or clip. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.
Backdownroller
6 . Apply Hot Rollers Through the Back
Take the entire back section of your hair, and then starting from the crown, take a smaller section of hair no wider than the diameter of the hot roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft until it meets your head and then secure it in place with a pin or clip. Repeat this step until you have reached the nape of your neck and the entire back section of your hair is completed. Keep the rollers in your hair until they cool.
Tease
7 . Tease Hair
Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

8 . Piece the Ends Using Moulding Cream
Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.
Hairsprayfinishing
9 . Apply Hairspray
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
