Jennifer Lopez Long Straight Dark Blonde Hairstyle

Added: 15 May 2018
Smooth and glossy is the main idea for this hairstyle. These highlighted locks are blow-dried straight to achieve a sexy yet simple look and feel. The layers in the front are smoothed down to frame the face and completes the overall look magnificently.

Jennifer Lopez is rocking her thick locks here in a sleek straight ‘do that compliments her oval face shape nicely. The sharp center part breaks up excess roundness in her face and the layers around the ends help to break up any heaviness and add movement. J-Lo’s naturally thick tresses look their best in longer ‘dos like the ones seen here, and when worn straight, have an ultra healthy and glossy finish. This style is easy to achieve with minimal styling time and can be worn day or night—just dress it up or down with makeup and clothes as needed.

Jennifer’s color is also looking fabulous here and works well with her tanned complexion and dark eyes. Having a medium complexion with warm golden undertones, she looks best in brown or dark blonde hair that highlights her eyes and matches her skin tone. Here she has jazzed up her golden brown base with caramel blonde highlights that gives her skin a sun-kissed glow.

step 1

Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

step 3

A paddle brush is used for detangling the hair and can be used to smooth out straight hair when blow-drying or styling. It is a must have for every household.

step 4

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

step 5

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

step 6

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 7

When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. step 8

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

step 9

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.
