Annalynne McCord Long Straight Blonde Hairstyle with Side Swept Bangs and Light Blonde Highlights

Added: 28 Mar 2016
This stunning 'do is styled to the side, showing off the sexy waves dressed through the mid-lengths to ends for shape and movement. This is a great look for any day or night occasion and easy to re-create at home with the right tools and product.

Annalynne McCord is looking sensational here with a long, waved hairstyle that does wonders for her look. Annalynne has an oblong face with a strong jawline and low forehead. By adding some waves and layers below her cheekbones and chin, she softens the angles of her face. The waves also work to add movement through the ends. Annalynne wears her bangs over to one side and adds a deep side part with a little height at the crown which finishes off her sexy, glamorous look.

Annalynne is a natural blonde with green eyes and a medium complexion, so she suits brown and golden blonde hair colors the best. Here she opts for a dark golden base with lighter blonde highlights to create an overall rich sun-kissed hue. This color makes her skin glow and her green eyes pop. Overall, Annalynne looks classy and sophisticated with this 'do.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 2

A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

Make sure that your hair is damp and then apply gel to your fingers and rub it into your roots to achieve maximum hold.

step 4

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 5

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 6

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in an outwards direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Repeat this step and then once the roots are dry, drag the brush to the mid-lengths and then slowly turn the brush in an inwards direction, flicking it through the ends.

step 7

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in an outwards direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Repeat this step and then once the roots are dry, drag the brush to the mid-lengths and then slowly turn the brush in an inwards direction, flicking it through the ends.

step 8

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 9

To get your sides to sit out, apply a small amount of gel to your fingertips and then working mainly on the ends, pinch them while dragging the hair in an out and upwards motion. The more gel and the more pinching that you apply, the more textured the result.

step 10

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
