Added: 24 May 2012
This long curly, honey-blonde hairstyle is soft and feminine, while the blunt cut bangs add a touch of edginess. The hair is lightened up with blonde highlights, which creates definition and visual balance. A subtle blend of brown and blonde highlights was laid down over some light blonde base highlights in order to bring depth and dimension to this hairstyle!

Our model is drawing attention to her long curly honey blonde hair with blunt bangs and light blonde highlights. She's wearing red lipstick and smokey black eyeshadow complemented by her dark brown eyes. She's got a bold personality and a glossy Hairstyle! For this hairstyle, this glossy hairdo is dressed in beautifully defined curls through the mid-lengths to ends, giving this hairdo plenty of bounce and body, making it a great style to balance out a long face. The bangs are smoothed out to frame the top of the face and complete this formal hairstyle superbly. This hairstyle is great for thick hair that is medium in density and texture with coarse ligature fibers. If you have tight curls, this style will work to add definition to your curls. Give your natural beauty a sophisticated touch with this long curly hairdo that’s been under the lights in one of our favorite magazines.

This long, honey-blonde hairstyle is great for those with naturally curly hair. The hair is left curled and lightly blow-dried to give it a rich luster with the lightest shade of blonde highlights. This look can easily be maintained by cutting off the length at 4 to 6 weeks and trimming it back with regular trims at four months. Pinch the ends of your hair for a piece effect.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 3

To blow-dry under, start at the nape/back and place your brush under the section of hair close to the nape. With the dryer held up over the hair, pull the brush from the roots and continue to the mid length's, keeping the blow-dryer following over the top. Once you reach the ends, curve them under. Repeat this step until the section is completely dry.

step 4

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 5

Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in a backward direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Be sure the section is dry and then repeat the step on a new section of hair directly behind.

step 6

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 7

A medium curling iron is used to create medium sized curls.

step 8

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 9

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

step 10

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 11

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
