Kate Bolduan Short Wavy Light Ash Blonde Bob Haircut with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 10 Feb 2017
Blunt cut ends and curls encourage movement and body in this chic jaw length bob. This short sassy 'do is perfect to compliment a round face and needs product to pinch through the ends for a textured look and feel.

Kate Bolduan is flaunting a cool short wavy hairstyle here that has a fabulous finish to it. This hairstyle looks great on her round face shape and is ideal for her low, rounded hairline. This ‘do gives Kate oodles of volume at the crown and has tons of texture throughout. Ladies with a fine hair texture like hers will benefit from this hairstyle that makes the hair appear thicker thanks to the body-boosting curls and blunt ends. Kate has gone with a side-swept fringe that camouflages her low forehead and gives her 'do a sexy peek-a-boo effect.

Kate’s color is another stand out feature of this ‘do. Her beige blonde base has been highlighted with streaks of soft gold and light ash tones, giving her locks an ultra light and soft finish. This hair hue looks lovely with her fair, cool complexion and dark brown eyes.

step 1

Hold the gel spray no closer than 3 inches from your hair and then evenly mist the gel spray into the roots to create a stronger hold style. Gel spray will hold well and will not look wet or weigh the hair down. Using your gel spray in this fashion will create added hold and a longer lasting style.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

Use your blow-dryer and your fingers to dry the back of your hair by moving your hair around to allow the heat to pass through it.

step 4

Using a blow-dryer on a low heat setting, use the palm of your hand in slow circular movements to dry off the hair and to create a disorganized effect.

step 5

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 6

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

step 7

Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.

step 8

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

step 9

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
