Terri Polo Light Blonde Pixie Haircut with Side Swept Bangs

Added: 20 Aug 2017
The sides and back of this short sassy 'do are tapered into the head while the top is longer and jagged cut for a textured look and feel. The bangs are swept over to the side to soften the face and completes the over-all hairstyle brilliantly. Regular trims are needed every 4-6 weeks to maintain this shape.

Terri Polo is working a layered pixie cut here with fabulous results. This jagged cut ‘do is ideal for ladies like her who have petite facial features and a strong bone structure. She has a square jaw line which benefits from short styles like this one that bring the focus upwards. Her fine hair type works well with this ‘do too as the layers add texture and body all over, and it gives her high forehead some coverage while framing her eyes. For ladies who like a stylish wash-and-go hairstyle, this longer version of a pixie cut is an excellent option, especially if they have an oblong face like Terri.

Terri has fair, cool skin that has some pink undertones to it, and dark brown eyes. She is best suited to blonde tones that warm up her skin and bring out her striking eyes. This ashy platinum blonde shade does just that, plus it gives her hairdo a chic and stylish finish. Her hair has been highlighted rather than colored all over, leaving her with a natural looking root area. Lowlights could be added for a more natural look, if desired, and it will give the appearance of thicker locks- a great trick for ladies with fine, short hair.

Theresa Elizabeth "Teri" Polo is an American actress. She starred as Pam Byrnes-Focker in the Meet the Parents trilogy.

step 1

Hold the gel spray no closer than 3 inches from your hair and then evenly mist the gel spray into the roots to create a stronger hold style. Gel spray will hold well and will not look wet or weigh the hair down. Using your gel spray in this fashion will create added hold and a longer lasting style.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

Use your blow-dryer and your fingers to dry the back of your hair by moving your hair around to allow the heat to pass through it.

step 4

A medium radial brush is used on medium to long hair types to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures or to add body to straight hair. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

step 5

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 6

Take a section of your hair no wider than the diameter of your brush. Place your brush under and at the roots of your section. Then with your blow-dryer above, drag the brush up through the mid-lengths and ends of the hair following with your blow-dryer and pulling the hair to the left. Repeat until your hair is completely dry.

step 7

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.

step 9

Apply wax to your fingertips then drag through your bangs, sweeping the hair to the left as you go. Pinching the ends will create soft texture.
