Description

(Added: 25th October 2015 )
The ends and long layers of this medium length 'do are jagged cut to achieve a low-fuss textured look and feel. The top is parted down the middle making this casual style perfect to frame a round face. Product is needed to add gloss and regular trims will help prevent split ends.

Abigail Spencer works a trendy wavy bob here with fantastic results. This messy bob looks great on her oval face shape and compliments her facial features nicely. Abigail has petite features and a thin face, so short hairstyles are best for her as longer locks could overwhelm her. This bob sits right above her shoulders and frames her face nicely, while the kinky waves add some bulk and width to balance her face out. This hairstyle is ideal for ladies who have thick hair and some natural wave or curl to it. Extra volume is added at the roots by backcombing for a cool, messy bedhead finish.

Abigail has a fair complexion with warm undertones and green eyes. This makes her suited to golden brown and blonde hair colors the best. Here, she is wearing a rich chocolate brown tone on the top that fades into caramel blonde at the ends. Abigail’s ombre look brings out her skin’s natural glow and makes her green eyes pop.

Abigail Spencer is an American actress who is best known for her performances in the films Cowboys & Aliens, Oz the Great and more.

  • Styling Tip: Spray a small amount of hairspray into your roots for extra volume and hold.

Styling Steps

Mousse
1 . Apply Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

Dryoff
2 . Use a Blow-dryer and Fingers to Dry Your Hair Off

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

3 . Piece the Ends Using Wax

Apply a small amount of wax to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.

4 . Apply Smoothing Shine

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

Hairsprayfinishing
5 . Apply Hairspray

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
