Description

(Added: 16th May 2016 )
The top of this blonde 'do is smoothed down flat while the mid-lengths to ends are styled into loose waves for a soft and simple look and feel. This casual style is easy to re-create with the right tools and needs product to tame fly-away hair.

Naomi Watts goes for a glamorous Old Hollywood look here with a wavy jaw length bob. This sexy hairstyle has a sculpted finish that gives Naomi an edgy look while making the most of her hair’s natural texture. Subtle large waves in the mid-lengths pump up her hair's volume even more and give her bob some extra style. The side part suits this ‘do well and completes her vintage vixen look. Ladies with an oval face shape like Naomi will also benefit from this wavy ‘do that is perfect for softening up angles in the chin and jawline. This bob highlights her cheekbone area too and makes the most of her low hairline and broad forehead.

Color-wise, Naomi’s wheat blonde shade looks great with her cool complexion and blue eyes. Although she has darker blonde hair naturally, she suits this lighter tone well thanks to the soft beige highlights throughout. The roots are left slightly darker to give her blonde a more natural look.

Naomi Watts is a British actress. She made her screen debut in the Australian drama film For Love Alone and then appeared in the Australian television series Hey Dad..!, Brides of Christ and more.

Styling Steps

Mousse
1 . Apply Mousse

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

Partright
2 . Part to the Right

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

Backstraight
3 . Blow-dry Straight Back

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.

Sidesstraight
4 . Blow-dry Straight on the Sides

Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.

Crown
5 . Blow-dry the Crown

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

Bangsforwardleft
6 . Blow-dry Bangs Forward to the Left

To blow-dry your bangs to the side, clip the back and side sections up, leaving just your bangs out. Place your brush beneath your bangs, holding your hair to the side and remembering to hold the tension between your hair and brush. With your blow-dryer on a low setting, apply heat by starting at the roots and make sure to stretch your hair out to the ends. Repeat until your hair is dry.

Triplecurlingiron
7 . Use a Triple Barrel Curling Iron

A triple barrel curling iron is used to apply a defined wave throughout the hair.

Triplecurlside
8 . Use a Triple Barrel Curling Iron to Curl the Side

Starting above your ear and working your way up to your part, take a small to medium section of hair and clamp it between the barrels of your curling iron. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release.

Triplecurlback
9 . Use a Triple Barrel Curling Iron to Curl the Back

Starting at the nape and working your way up, take a small to medium section of hair and clamp it between the barrels of your curling iron. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release.

Sidesbehindear
10 . Style Side Behind Ear Using Gel

Apply a small amount of gel to your fingertips, then place it at the roots above your ear and drag it through as you pull your hair behind your ear.

Hairsprayfinishing
11 . Apply Hairspray

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
