Description

(Added: 9th October 2017 )
This layered shag 'do is ideal for ladies with thick and/or textured hair and brings all of the focus to the eyes and mouth. This 'do is ideal for medium to thick hair that has natural wave. This is a versatile hairdo that can be worn for both formal and casual looks.

Carrie Genzel looks lovely here in a layered shag-bob hairstyle that makes the most of her hair's natural texture and her facial features. Having an oblong face shape and strong features, Carrie is well-suited to this shoulder length cut with a full fringe that brings the attention front and center. This ‘do works with her natural hair texture nicely and creates the perfect frame for her face, thanks to the layering throughout and the layered, eye-framing bangs. The blunt ends gives her hair a thick, healthy appearance with some swing throughout the ends, while the fringe gives her a sexy peek-a-boo effect. All in all, this is a chic and sophisticated look for Carrie.

Carrie has a fair complexion and light green eyes. This makes her well-suited to brunette and auburn tones of hair the best. Here, she is flaunting a rich mahogany brown shade with red undertones that highlights her eyes and flawless complexion. Lighter auburn highlights are placed throughout for a subtle sun-kissed effect. Overall this vibrant shade gives her locks a glossy, rich finish.

Carrie Genzel is a Canadian actress, producer and writer. She is best known as an actress, with more than 57 television and movie roles to her credit.

Styling Steps

Partmiddle
1 . Part the Middle
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.
Brushsmall
2 . Use a Small Radial Brush
A small radial brush is used on shorter hair types to add more body or in longer hair types to create curl. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.

3 . Scrunch Dry Hair with a Blow-dryer and Fingers
Use your hand to scrunch the hair as you blow-dry. Remember to keep the blow-dryer on a low speed and heat setting and to leave some moisture in your hair.
Crown
4 . Blow-dry the Crown
To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.
Bangsforwardbdry
5 . Blow-dry Bangs Forward
When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

6 . Blow-dry and Flick Right Side
Take a section of your hair from your ear to your temple that is the same diameter as the brush. Place your brush on top of the hair starting at the roots and pull the hair slowly in an outwards direction with your blow-dryer following in front. Repeat this step and then once the roots are dry, drag the brush to the mid-lengths and then slowly turn the brush in an inwards direction, flicking it through the ends.

7 . Blow-dry and Flick Left Side
Tease
8 . Tease Hair
Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

10 . Piece the Ends Using Moulding Cream
Apply a small amount of moulding cream to your fingertips and then lightly piece and pinch the ends of your hair.
Hairsprayfinishing
11 . Apply Hairspray
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
