Vicky Pattison Long Wavy Brunette Hairstyle

Added: 02 Sep 2016
This thick mane has been curled then brushed through and worn in front of the shoulders, showing off the soft waves dressed through the mid-lengths to ends. This look is easy to re-create with the right tools and needs product to tame fly-away hair. Regular trims is needed every 4-6 weeks to prevent split ends.

Vicky Pattison looks fabulous here in long, silky waves. Vicky is a fan of sexy, longer hairstyles which are ideal for her diamond-shaped face and thick hair type. The layers and waves in this ‘do give her hair an infusion of body and volume which is essential for a long face-framing style. The center part and grown out fringe also works well with her high, straight hairline. Sweeping the hair in front of the shoulders is an easy way to add some extra style to a simple long ‘do like this one, plus it highlights her gorgeous cheekbones and defined jawline.

Vicky has a medium, warm complexion and hazel eyes which makes her suited to golden brown or blonde hair the best. Here, she maintains a monotone sunkissed brunette shade throughout. This gives her hair a sleek, healthy look, plus it brightens up her complexion and eye color.

step 1

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.

step 2

A paddle brush is used for detangling the hair and can be used to smooth out straight hair when blow-drying or styling. It is a must have for every household.

step 3

Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.

step 4

Working in sections starting from the back, place the paddle brush close to the roots and drag it through the strands slowly, taking care not to overheat your hair. Once dry, continue to a new section, completing the back, the sides and then the top section last of all.

step 5

Take a section of hair no wider than the diameter of the velcro roller and comb it through to ensure there are no knots. Place the roller at the ends of the section of hair, being sure to smooth the ends under, and then twist the roller down the hair shaft to the roots. Continue applying the velcro rollers all the way through the entire hair for a full volume finish throughout the sides. Keep the rollers in your hair for approximately 20 minutes.

step 6

Pick up a small selection of hair from your mid section no bigger than your tail comb. Place your comb at the roots and then comb up and down until the hair is standing up by itself. Continue to the crown and finish at the sides. Repeat this step if you require more volume.

step 7

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.
