Elise Neal has been seen sporting a rather unique hairstyle, and the jury is out on whether it's fashion-forward or just plain frumpy. This hairdo has layers jagged cut into the back and sides to balance the bounce and movement of the waves. This casual hairdo will need regular trims every 4-6 weeks to prevent split ends and product for hold and shine.

Elise Neal has a gorgeous face. She looks young, modern and has a complexion to die for. Her face shape is oval, so she can pull off virtually any style with ease. Her actual hairstyle in this photo is nice- it's loose, it's wavy and it looks effortlessly chic. But, the cut is not what we are critiquing. It's that crazy hair color job! It gives a whole new meaning to growing out your roots.

While the "grown out roots" look is very popular and can actually look really good, there needs to be some sort of graduation of color. Elise has a harsh line where her natural black hair meets the caramel shade—not the smoothest of transitions.

On the other hand, this color effect says- yes my roots are growing out, so what? It's hard work looking perfect all the time, so why don't we just relax when it comes to our roots?
