Jennette McCurdy Long Wavy Light Brunette Hairstyle with Layered Bangs and Dark Blonde Highlights

Added: 08 Jul 2015
Layers are cut around the sides and back of these highlighted locks to enhance the movement of the loose waves all through the back and sides. The bangs are worn down to frame the top of the face and completes the over-all hairstyle magnificently. Regular trims is needed to prevent split ends.

Jennette McCurdy looks gorgeous here in a long wavy layered ‘do that is full of cool, casual style. This wash and go hairstyle works for both day and night and suits ladies who like a laid-back look regardless of the occasion. Jennette has a round face shape which benefits from the soft eye-skimming fringe and long layers in this ‘do. Ladies with a round face shape do especially well with a ‘narrow’ fringe as seen here, where the edges end at the outer corners of the eye rather than closer to the temple.

The color is another fabulous feature of this hairstyle. Jennette has gone for light golden blonde shades in the past but has reverted to the darker, more natural blonde color seen here. This matches her ivory complexion and dark blue eyes much better and brings out her natural glow. The highlighted lengths give her ‘do a cool sun-kissed finish.

Jennette McCurdy is an American actress, screenwriter, producer, singer, and songwriter.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using your blow-dryer, dry your hair using your fingers, separating the hair and allowing it to dry at the roots first then the mid lengths and then the ends. Making sure the roots are dry first will ensure that your hairstyle does not fall flat.

step 3

When blow-drying your bangs forward, clip your hair back leaving only your bangs out. Position your bangs evenly in your brush, taking the hair in a forward direction. Blow-dry from roots to ends, keeping the tension consistent, and evenly distribute heat over the whole section of hair that you are working on. Repeat until the hair is dry. This will stop any frizz that may occur.

step 4

Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.

step 5

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
