Kelly Osbourne Short Wavy Purple Asymmetrical Hairstyle

Added: 30 Aug 2017
This flamboyant 'do is clipper cut down the sides from the front to back leaving the middle length long enough to blow-wave into this brilliant shape best suited to frame a round face. This is a great look to wow any crowd and needs strong hold product to keep it in place. Regular trims are needed every 4-6 weeks to keep this bold 'do in shape.

Kelly Osbourne goes for a striking yet elegant up-do here that is ideal for a formal night out. Kelly has a triangular face shape and expressive facial features which look great with most hairdos, especially up-dos like this one. Her fine tresses have been curled, teased and loosely flipped over to the side, creating a fauxhawk look at the crown of the head. The sides have been clipper cut for a smooth finish. Overall, this hairstyle works well for her face shape and low forehead, and amplifies her natural hair texture.

Kelly loves to experiment with her hair colors and looks best in shades of beige and platinum blonde, thanks to her tanned skin tone and bright green eyes. Here she has gone for a muted amethyst color that has a vintage effect to it for an extra head-turning 'do. Rather than the more eye-catching purple tones she has been wearing, this shade is a more elegant way to do violet tresses.

Kelly Osbourne is a British singer-songwriter, actress, television presenter and fashion designer.

step 1

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.

step 2

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

step 3

To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.

step 4

Working in sections, place your brush at the roots of your hair and then using a blow-dryer on low heat, drag your brush through to the ends styling towards the right.

step 5

To blow-dry the crown/top sections, take a section of hair no bigger than the diameter of the brush and blow-dry the hair placing the brush under the section of hair. With your blow-dryer in front of the brush, follow the brush in an upwards direction at the roots and an outwards position at the ends for volume and softness. Continue until the section is dry.

step 6

A large curling iron is used to create large soft curls and can be used to add body.

step 7

Starting at the front, take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your roots. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards. Continue this step until all of the hair through your front and sides has been curled.

step 8

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
