There are several different types of curls and even more different tools to achieve them, so, TheHairStyler.com has put together some expert advice on how to create lusciously curly looks

Soft curls

Technique: soft regular curls using heated bendy rollers

Styling products: styling mousse, smoothing shine, light hold hair spray.

To style: apply styling mousse to damp hair then blow-dry until the hair is completely dry. Dividing hair into one inch sections, apply rollers for 20 minutes then remove and separate the curls with your fingers for a soft, natural look. Finish off this fantastic style with a spritz of light hold hair spray, to keep the curls in place.

Ringlet curls

Technique: ringlet curls using hot tongs

Styling products: heat protection spray, hairspray.

To style: separate hair into one inch sections and apply heat protection spray to each segment. Wrap the pieces around the heated hot tong, hold, and then release. Adding a light hairspray will hold each ringlet of this classic style into place.

Wavy hair

Technique: wavy hair using large velcro rollers

Styling products: styling cream, hair serum, hairspray.

To style: blow-dry hair until only slightly damp then set your hair with velcro rollers starting from the crown area. Remove the rollers after two hours and release the curls using your fingers and smooth down with hair serum. Finish with a light hairspray for a hold that will keep your waves in top condition.

Technique: natural wave using a hair diffuser attachment

Styling products: frizz-free serum, wax.

To style: a must for curly hair. Apply frizz-free serum to damp hair then tilt your head forward and gently move the diffuser around your hair. For best results use on a low speed and scrunch curls into the diffuser as you dry. Apply a small amount of wax on the ends of the dry hair to keep the waves of this stylish look in place.
