After breaking out with an RnB album, moving onto a pop album and then trying a rock album, Pink surprises us again with her 4th album, I'm Not Dead.
Successfully mixing in all her previous musical efforts, I'm Not Dead shakes it up with a fuse of pop, RnB, rock, jazz and dance in a way that only Pink can.
Highlights include the first single (and superb lyrical observation), "Stupid Girls," "Who Knew," "Cuz I Can," "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)," "U and Ur Hand," "Runaway" and "I Got Money Now."
Being a Pink album,I'm Not Dead does of course feature an outspoken "political" song with, "Dear Mr. President" and the reflective, "Conversations With My 13 Year Old Self" to inject a little artistic credibility, but they are both slickly produced and feature some fantastic vocals which blend in well with the rest of the album.
So, if you're looking for one of those rare albums where almost every track could be a potential hit single,I'm Not Dead is definitely worth a listen and should have something for almost everybody.
