Randee Heller was recently papped looking elegant in a cobalt blue dress with equally radiant makeup to match. She provides a great example of how to wear makeup when you have mature skin, especially in the evening.
The golden rule of makeup is that mature skin looks better with less. Using mineral makeup products will help to give an airbrushed look, whereas the classic liquid foundations can settle into lines and wrinkles making them more pronounced. Follow Randee’s lead and keep your base light and fresh-- and don’t go too heavy on the blush.
Randee has a lovely shade of silver hair (offset nicely by her blue dress, we may add!) and brings out her blue eyes with a simple brown eyeliner. She has lined the top and bottom lashes and smudged the edges out ever so slightly. This is a great technique for mature skin, as too much smokiness on the eyes will end up just looking like tiredness! Her lipstick is another great choice. The color is neither too bright nor too dark, and the berry color looks fantastic with her cool color palette. All in all, this is a fabulous makeup look for mature skin for a special event or night out.
